Game Day: UK vs. UGA - Live on the Internet!

November 17th, 2007 · 6 Comments · Baby DVD, Football, Georgia, MP3s, Videos

Z is looking skeptical about the possibility of the Kentucky Wildcats pulling an upset on “the most dangerous team in the SEC”. However, he wasn’t even conceived last November when the Wildcats took Georgia to town in Lexington. However, we’re both looking forward to being able to watch our first Georgia game of the season here in our voluntary NCAA football exile in Blighty. If you’re not lucky enough to be living in the Deep South, Lincoln Financial Sports makes their game of the week broadcasts available free on the net. Stream it through Yahoo Sports. You need a damn fast internet connection and it’s not great quality, but it’s better than a sharp stick in the eye. Z’s obsessed with the TV, so I’m excited that he’s going to get to watch something better than Australian soap operas and the British version of Jerry Springer (his mother’s contributions).

Since I don’t get much TV, radio or news coverage of the Dawgs over here, I rely heavily on the net. Here are a few sites that I’ve found with good analysis, photos or videos this week:

Our prediction - a big old wood shed beating for the ‘Cats, who are running up on a red hot Georgia team in their house - Georgia 45, Kentucky 24.

I know that this Pogues’ song has nothing to do with SEC football, but you could play with the album title “Rum, Sodomy and the Lash” and make it work somehow. If you can connect the two - leave a comment for a prize!

And these videos (posted by RedStripeDawg) do my heart good - Mark Richt has brought the pride back to Athens this year. Hopefully Z and I will get to see the Soulja boy and this kind of Bulldog spirit live today! Sic ‘em Dawgs!

    Chris,

It depends on which Georgia team comes to the game. If it is the one that dismantled Auburn you should have a great one.

Looks like you all my be playing LSU in Atlanta then on to a big bowl.

Grayson is standing there for his very first Dawg Walk right now. How exciting for him! I hope for his sake this is another exciting game like the last two have been. How do you follow the Celebration and the BlackOut, though? Watch for them in the stands (Jeff will be the big white guy trying to do the Soulja Boy with the team). XD
