Thanks for visiting again!

A note about your Wordless Wednesday comment:

This post was tragic and poignant. It was reminiscent of ones that I find with Appalachian History.

I'm new to blogging myself, but my personal blogging mission is to present the history connected to US tour sites. It's also a service to historians and travelers. There aren't any other student tour planners or tour guides in the blogsphere! I've decided to keep mine much lighter than most of the scholarly history and education blogs. My favorite history blogs are History is Elementary and American Presidents Blogs. Walking the Berkshires is another one that I enjoy because it is can be whimsical. From these one can find links to some other wonderful blogs.

Occasionally, I get personal: Poetry for School and Soul, Bringing Cemeteries to Life, I saw a Man Walk on the Moon, and A Bittersweet Fourth of July all relate to my life and family or friends- and some aspect of student tourism.

I also expose some of the faults with my profession: Teacher Bonuses and Stipends for Educational Student Tours and Educational Student Tour Company Ethics: Caveat Emptor.

I think that many people don't have a specific mission and use this to express thoughts, meet new people, exchange ideas, and learn. There are so many homeschooling moms out there who spend a great deal of time in the home and might be in some remote and inaccessible places; blogs are the window to the world. I have some favorites which give me a glimpses into normal and healthy American family life and education.

Wordless Wednesday is a time to visit - as is Thursday Thirteen and a lot of other memes. Your photo was wonderful. this is how I found you.

Blogging Carnivals that reflect your interests is another way to gather up more blogs and meet people.

What is it you would like to accomplish with your blog? What sort of people would you like to meet? What are your hobbies and passions? Please let me know, and I might be able to direct you to a couple of blogs. Theres a blog for every subject imaginable. One just needs to go visiting and leave a nice or thoughtful comment.

Cheers!

"Helpless" makes me teary-eyed every time I hear it. And, apparently, every time it pops up unexpectedly at the end of a tragic story.
